Hello all back again.... i have been watching my credit report and have been building it up slowly, not that I want any more credit lol. Cabot ltd has bought one of my debts from halifax i think, it was on my report as settled due to the fact that it was included in the iva. now it is saying on the report i owe 14K! can they do this?

Hi
It can happen with the credit report.
One thing that is for sure is that you don't owe the 14k

You can ask them but it will fall off your file six years from the date that it was put on.Is that a long way away ?

All I want to do is to put it back as partially settled like it was before. I have 3yrs to wait for that to happen lol

You can ask then to ammend the information if it is incorrect. But with certain DCA's its like beating your head against a wall unfortuanately Cabot are one of the worst for these types of errors.
