Hi scooby
yes i kept everything, but this PRA group have bought one of my Debts and not told me or my IVA company as they have no dealing with them either.
it could be one of 2 debts so im going to have to give them both of my old reference numbers to see if they match anything they have.
We are free at last! After several weeks of chasing GE Money to get them to remove their default from our Equifax and Experian files they did so on Friday and our files show us to be credit worthy again.
We are very grateful to a friendly and very apologetic manager at GE called Melissa who has been chasing her ‘KEYS’ team (the dept that looks at the credit files) in getting them to update our files accordingly after I have called several times to chase it.
For the benefit of other readers; GE have apparently moved offices recently and their systems have been down for 2 weeks causing a huge backlog. We were also told at one point that what we saw as a default was actually a ‘marker’ as it did show ‘settled’. I said that it should have now been removed under the rules of the IVA.
Initially they said that they had not received a copy of our CC and then last week that they were unaware of the start date of our IVA (31 Dec 2009) but now on checking our files see that the entries are gone.
Regarding the intention to buy a new car from Available Car which we had hoped to get finance for; we did buy a car from them but was able to pay for it outright after my mum lent the 15k thus saving us £2800 interest.
I wanted thank the family of experts like Kallis and Foggy to name a few and the many that have travelled the IVA journey and whose sentiments have helped us through.
If you are still yet to complete; just keep plodding away it will be worth it in the end. It has taken us about 7 years- 6 in the IVA and the best part of this year to get our records straight.
Good luck all.
