Hi all. I completed my IVA on the 9th March 2016 and am waiting in anticipation when my name is taken off the Insolvency Register on the 9th June 2016. I have sent all the completion certificates to Noddle, Experian and Equifax but I have noticed that I have still 2 defaults that are still remaining on my credit file that where included in the IVA from Cabolt and Nat West Bank. The IVA was completed after 5 years. Do I write to these 2 company's with the completion certificate asking them to update their file or do they drop off after 6 years? Trying to build up my credit rating and have began the process but feel this is affecting my credit score. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

They should drop off but you can send a copy to the creditors concerned and tell them to remove the defaults.

They won't drop off until after the 6 year mark I'm afraid.

Thanks Lisa. Is that from the date the IVA was taken out or completion date? Thanks.
