Hi everyone. Sorry that I haven't posted for so long.

I have just over a year to go before I have completed my IVA. I have recently joined Credit Expert(Experian)so that I can see my credit report. My IVA is on there but my overall Credit Score made me smile. It isn't 'Very Poor' or even 'Poor', it is 'Fair' (738). I find it a bit strange as I expected it to be Very Poor. Is this right?...not that that I am complaining [:)]

The actual score means very little I am afraid.

Sorry to burst the bubble!!

Whats more important are the default dates which should be no later than the date your IVA was approved.

Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

Quite agree. Wouldn't worry about your record at all until after IVA is completed.

I'm not even bothering to check mine until closer to the time. It's pointless, I can't apply for credit anyway.

I think that when I looked there were defaults registered after my IVA approval date. Is it worth doing something about them now or do i need to wait until my IVA is completed which is October next year? I have to have SC clearance for my job. My current SC clearance expires in 2012 (10 year cycle) so when I redo it I would have completed my IVA but my IVA will still be on my credit file...feel a bit anxious as no one knows. I think from reading previous posts that providing I admit to it on my application I should be ok...just dreading anyone finding out. Nearly 4 years on and I still haven't told a sole.

Wait until after completion, then write to those creditors and tell them to remove the defaults.

Your IVA will be on your record for a further 12 months anyway so no real rush.

Hi
These credit scores are very inaccurate I'm afraid. An IVA still on your record should give you a poor rating.
