Your searches will not affect your credit rating, neither will ID / Money Laundering searches as these are only visible to yourself and not to creditors searching your file.

Any credit application searches could potentially lower your score or at least raise a red flag with a creditor. Especially if there are lots of credit searches with no account details. It indicates that they failed their checks and 2 + 2 = 4.

I must say. I don't think the score means anything. Experian has me on 998! I was shocked but when you loo at the report it still shows the finished IVA and defaults, so they would flag up to any lender anyway meaning the score is useless

The CRA score is useless, and not worth paying for.

Each organisation will score a application differently, whilst you could be declined a bank account at one bank, you could be accepted somewhere else.
