After a bit of Creditfix bashing in the past regarding their poor service in my opinion, I received my completion certificate last week after only 2 months from my final offer. So well done to Creditfix.

Fair and rightful outcome in the end.

As an ex client of PJG`s and having had my IVA proposal contain the `third party funds` wording, I know for a fact that Melanie`s intention of this clause was for the `third party` to mean funding via a lump sum from a relative or friend, etc.. Most definately NOT a loan, secured or unsecured.

A few insolvency companies have been trying to bully pre 2014 protocol IVA debtors into secured loans at equity release time for a few years now but, as has been posted, usually back down when challenged.

I wonder how many people have actually been coerced into taking out a loan though.

Hi all
I'm at this point in the process also and am also a transferee from PJG and subject to the pre 2014 protocol.
I contacted CF and was told they would arrange the valuation and their partner company would apply for a re-mortgage for me. I heard nothing and when I rang recently, a very helpful young man told me that I would get written confirmation about the extra year of payments in lieu.
However, I've just today received a letter today from Creditfix and it's quite interesting. It states:
"If a re-mortgage, which also includes all secured lending options is possible..."
And then further down:"To help calculate your equity and to help you apply secured lending I will introduce you to Just Lending."
I have no intention of going down the secured loan route and will write and inform them so. It does mean that I now need to jump through the pointless hoops of obtaining a valuation and re-mortgage rejection confirmation just when I thought I wouldn't have to bother.

If it mentions nothing in your original paperwork about a secured loan then you don't have to do it and they can't force you to.

As has been mentioned on numerous threads recently (CF are having a heyday!) secured lending is not included in pre 2014 arrangements ( and then only in those that use the Protocol or specifically introduce it). The term remortgage does not include secured loans and it was never PJG's intention that it should.

Hi All,

Just to update on this - I was contacted by Just Lending who were basically suggesting that I "had" to take out a 2nd Charge (secured loan) at the end of my IVA - I said 2008 protocol didn't cover that and they seemed to know nothing of it. Credit Fix have said I can just carry on paying but Just Lending say otherwise.... watch this space.

As recovering points out --- it has nothing at all to do with Just Lending !

Yep, I'm on the phone to CF as I type.... they don't seem to know what to tell me either. If I need to try and remortgage, I need to know for how much - but it look like they handed that job to Just lending!

Have you had a valuation done? Your own mortgage company will provide you with a refusal.

You do not have to have anything to do with Just Lending at all.

I have had my own done and they say they did one, but "it's not on file"... Just Lending say they would be doing it.... yes but only if I agree to using them!
