Thank you so much for sharing this, we are another transferee and its stressing me out no end. our review is now and I have yet to hear from them. My hubby was out of work for nearly two years and got a job 6 months ago, so it means there are a lot of changes because last year we cut everything out that we could to get the right amount for DI...but it meant we went without on a lot of things.

Anyway, looing at that sheet there are a few things different, the main one being the breakdown in food and housekeeping, I mean who really knows exactly how much they spend week by week on cleaning to food to alcohol. We don't drink so does that mean someone buying a bottle of vodka a week is gonna get more for housekeeping!!! Very strange.

Also you mention bank statements to credit fix. Apart from when we set up the IVA with PJG we never ever sent in another bank statement. I just did the review paperwork, covering letters, and copies of all correspondence. Is the bank statement a normal thing, or is it just for new transfers do you think.

I know its all new to you too, I'm sorry for the questions, I know this is going to be horrendous for us as there are so many problems this year and we were waiting a very important problem to be sorted when it transferred over....still waiting and its been two months ???

Thanks again for the sheet though x

I think the bank statements are standard for them. Other IPs do this too I think.

The jury is out on what they do with them. I just printed them out and bundled them off. I've run out of "worry" :) I didn't even study them myself.

Out the printer and in the post they went.

I pay all direct debits from my account and whatever's left goes into my wife's private account for shopping. Simple and I think many do the same.

I get business expenses paid in, so that may cause a query thought they are denoted as such on the statements.

I duly sent off payslips too though I sent them every month anyway so they should have them on file.

I'll post the outcome on here.

Well the Stepchange guidance allowances include for tobacco products (or at least they did when I did my original I&E 2 years ago). So if you smoke yes you get more in allowances than somebody who doesn't.

I do find divulging bank statements a step too far. I'm all for payslips, and direct debit info being submitted, but what we spend day to day is our business and absolutely no one else's!

Lots of companies ask for bank statements to be fair. Melanie never did when I was a client of hers but it really does differ company to company.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Yep they do. Perhaps someone who has had reviews with bank statements might care to comment?

Was anything questioned?

If so, what?

Since your allowance is yours to spend as you see fit I can only see that they confirm income and bills and check for no unexplained large deposits.

If they question an undeclared expenditure, you could reply "Oh yes, missed that! I need to put that on my I&E form and pay less into the IVA". [:)]

im just going to put the housekeeping allowance weve got in that section cant split it as depends what we need. Try snd stick to it but usually go over by time bought everything a family of 5 needs even with a decent allowance. Hey ho...i guess reviews will start soon.

You said you send payslips monthly....i emailled creditfix about sending payslips as my husband gets paid weekly and we would scan and send them quarterly to Mel however creditfix only want them at review time. Do they only want 6 months payslips or the whole years worth like Mel needed?

I doubt that any IP or their staff would have time to scrutinise every bank statement sent to them at review time. I'm guessing they glance over them to confirm direct debits rather than looking at each individual itemised item.

I imagine they will skip through the DD's to see if they tally with expenses claimed and then look at deposits to check against income.

Now I have that high pitched singer ( Tiny Tim) stuck in my head singing "OOOooOOOOo Tip Toe. through the DDs ....." !!!!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

That form looks good - far more allowance categories than those given by Payplan!

Hmm. I have no issues declaring my income but I find the part about bank statements somewhat invasive. I have no issue providing proof of DDs from the companies with which I have them. What I earn is fair game for inspection, but how I spend what I'm allowed to keep? My business as far as I'm concerned.

I'm really not very happy about being under Credit Fix at all and am beginning to wish I'd just taken the bankruptcy option and been done with it inside of a couple of years.

On the contract you signed with Mel it makes no mention of bank statements, just wage slips, and P60's, so that's all they are getting from me.

Put it this way, without the contract there is no legal basis for a review.
