Hi all hope your ok.

Yesterday the phone rang and it were a lady calling from Barclays bank about accident insurance cover. Barclays are one of my main creditors and as I have been in an IVA just over 2 years they shouldn't realy be ringing me should they?
Im not realy that bothered as I said I wasn't interested in the product and the lady politily said ok thats fine thank you for your time.
Have any of you been contacted by your creditors so far in an IVA?

Cheers for now John

It's not the same as being contacted over your debt John.

This sounds as though it was just a sales call.

There are people on here who are still being contacted. A case of right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing.

There will be a time delay in Barclays updating their systems - but at least the call was a pleasant one!

Surely the part of the company who called you have little/nothing to do with your debt so there is nothing wrong with them calling you.

TSB are my main creditor but I am still allowed to walk past their braches(albeit very quickly in case the security men drag me inside for a beating!!!)

2 years is a awful long time for them to be updating their systems... My thought though is they are not contacting you with regards to your debt but to try to sell you a product.

All banks and building societies try this on, you cannot walk into a branch these days without them trying to sell you this or that in the guise of a financial review or discussion at the counter.

Makes you wonder what they see actually, the other day they tried to offer me a loan

We don't even get that now. Just had one of those little catalogue things today and that was it.

That's the only trouble with the banks once they have got your number. The insurance department will not know of the existence of the IVA, so will phone trying to drum up business.

We sometimes get calls like that and they are just told that I am not interested.

I hope I never stop getting the letters. It save me buying kitty litter, and its bio degradable. [:D][:D]
