Hi Everyone

Have just had my IVA accepted and so has my Husband. Many thanks to Melanies team, Sue and Hywel for all their help and thanks to Andy Davie who pointed myself and my Husband in the right direction.

After hours looking at the forum and obsessed by how I thought my creditors would vote, thought it may be useful to list the voting.

Total owed was £67,600 and vote accepted 100% with dividend at 26p in the £.

£3,300 Alliance & Leicester - yes represented by TIX
£11,200 Barclaycard - yes represented by Eversheds
£11,600 Halifax - yes represented by TIX
£11,400 HSBC - yes represented by TIX
£10,000 Virgin MBNA - yes represented by Eversheds
£9,800 Sainsburys Bank - yes represented by TIX

Both Barclaycard (ex Morgan Stanley)£5,400 and HSBC card £4,900 did not vote.

Husband also had his accepted at 43p in the £

Egg represented by Grant Thornton - yes
Halifax represented by TIX - yes
Lloyds represented by KPMG - yes
Tesco represented by TIX - yes

Only HSBC card did not vote.

Thanks to everyone once again and great forum.

thats great news - I have been looking at this forum for a while to see if an IVA is right for me and was just wondering how long it took you to get to this point, with the proposal being accepted if you dont mind me asking.

Hi and welcome
It will usually take 8 -12 weeks, if you return all the paperwork that your IP needs quickly then it can really speed up the whole process

hi breatheasy

thats great news its been nearly 3 weeks since we had our iva agreed and every day i'm feeling so much better[:)]. Don't get me wrong its not easy we're here tonight totally skint but i get paid tomorrow, but do you know its the best feeling in the world knowing that tomorrow when I do get paid it's money thats ours and not going to be eaten up by an overdraft or having to paid our creditors (which wasn't enough anyway) its ours and its down to us to make sure it lasts us the month but the piece of mind we feel now out ways the worry we have felt for so long.

best of luck to your for the future I hope all goes well for you x x.
