Hi - just a quick question. Had a call last night from Albion collections (for Halifax). They said they wanted a payment, and i told them the date of my creditors meeting, but they said they would still call even if it was accepted. I'm right in thinking that the day the IVA is accepted is the day that calls and letters should stop (once it has filtered down) and i am within my rights to tell the people who call "get lost". Or not?
Bang on yes. Once your creditors meeting has been held and presumably voted in favour then yes

Ignore the calls from Albion - it's just the usual call centre and they haven't a clue what they are talking about.
They may well continue to call for a while and will demand payment. Just tell them you have an IVA and they cannot call you anymore. If they are persistent, once your name is on the insolvency register, insist that they check it.
Otherwise, I'd just ignore them. You'll be quite safe once the IVA has been approved.
