Hi angela18

Calls from creditors are a hassle. However most of our creditors have been ok when we have told them that we are applying for an IVA.
There has only been one who has tried to put pressure on us to pay something to them and they keep sending letters but we have our meeting in two weeks so the next time they call I can tell them this.
This forum has been a great source of support when the calls have got too much.
Good luck with everything and I hope you don't get too much hassle.

thanks emma, I read it just before, will print it off and keep it handy. Think I had another call from another to day at work but as work in contact centre had missed call, wasn't a number I recognised or local so I'll have to wait until they call back to find out. They must think nobody works and can answer at anytime!![:I]

I know angela and they won't leave messages.

My creditors only had my work mobile and would ring all the time when I was busy and had phone on silent and would not leave messages. Whe they called back and said they had tried to call me x amount of times, I said why don't you leave a message and I would have called you back!!

Thank god they did not have my home phone as could not have coped with it at home also.

Good luck
Emma

I know but I can understand in a way, we've spent there money and they want it back (who wouldn't), unfortunately, through them all giving us there money, can't afford to give them it back!!! fingers crossed things will turn out ok in the end

I know I can understand it too but some calls are just plain rude and trying to scare you.
I was always polite but found it very hard to cope speaking from someone at the same company multiple times in a day. I would tell them I only spoke to the a couple of hours ago and I am afraid nothing has happened since then.

I had quite a few creditors and some were so great when I explained that I had just suddenly lost my second job and thats why I was no longer to meet my commitments, but some were just so judgemental and scary I had many a phone call to Melanies office when I was worried. I was always reassured and had full confidence in the team and they would do their best for me.

We are with Melanie's team too and they have offered us amazing support and things have moved fairly quickly for us.
I think we are with the best judging by all the positive feedback Melanie has on this forum. Hopefully we will both have good news in the not too distant future and we can look forward to being debt free.[:)][:)]

I too am with Melanies team and I think we are in good hands.

This IVA process is a roller coster of emotions.
