Best of luck from me too. IVAs do not often get rejected as the IP will not put forward proposals that he/she would not recommend.

I wonder why the small percentage of IVA's don't get accepted then?

Sometimes they are rejected because you can't agree to any adjustments your creditors may want to impose on the IVA.

Or because the creditors think they may get more money back if you do a DMP.

Some of the time this means that the creditor ends up with nothing as the proposer choses bankruptcy instead!

HMRC reject IVAs where ther is a history of non compliance or substantial returns are outstanding. Unfortunately the IP would not have access to this type of information and if the debtor does not divulge it the IP will go ahead and prepare the IVA.
