Hi nickych

I am afraid that this is one of the downsides of doing a DMP, in that you have no legal protection against creditors continuing to harass you, or worst still taking you to Court.

Can I ask the circumstances of the rejection of your IVA? What dividend were you offering, and how much were your monthly contributions. Also are you a property owner, and how much are your debts in total?

Hi

Can I make a suggestion to you. If possible get caller ID on your phone. You will soon learn to recognise the HFC number - I know I did - and can then choose if you want to talk to them. Alternatively, if you haven't already done so (although I'm sure you probably have) call them directly and ask to speak to a manager. Explain your circumstances and ask them to remove you from the auto-redial facility HFC seem to employ. What makes it worse is they seem to use a call-centre in India and, like with mobile phone companies, when you tell them something not on their script they don't understand and you get no further forward. By calling their head office you might get some satisfaction. If all else fails look at the postings on here regarding harrassment and quote that to HFC head office.

Good luck

Dave
Regards

Dave

Hi Nickych,
If you are with BT they have a 'choose to refuse' scheme free for first month then £3 odd thereafter and you can put in the bothersome number to stop it from calling you. You could change phone number or take phone off hook sometimes until 9pm. Hope helpful, it really stresses you this kind of thing.
