Well our creditors meeting has been arranged for the 21st August. I kinds of knew this was going to happen but we are on holiday from the 8th - 22nd. It was booked ages ago after not having a family holiday for a few years. I have felt guilty enough knowing the holiday was coming while trying to arrange an iva but was hoping they wouldn't clash and just thought we'd try and make the most if it as its probably the last one for 6 years at least.

Anyway I called our iva administrater and said we wouldn't be available to talk on the 21st to discuss the outcome. she said they will try and adjourn it til the 23rd when we're back. I'm just wondering how bad this us going to reflect on us. I was already convinced the creditors will turn down our proposal now I'm definitely not looking forward to getting back[V]

No, I'm sure it won't go against you, are you out of the country? if not let the meeting go ahead and be at the end of the phone to take a call.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Yeah unfortunately, we're out if the country. Just so frustrating but nothing I can do about it. Just gonna have to sit tight and hope for the best me thinks

I don't think it will affect things at all, just because you are out of the country, I am sure there are many people who work abroad that could potentially be in this situation so as far as the creditors are concerned, that shouldn't make a difference, is there a huge time difference where you are going?, if not can you be available by the phone on the day?

You could take the call on the day but unfortunately this will cost you.

I can only remember a short phone call. I think it was more of a formality as I remember it . Try not to let it spoil your holiday.

I was at work during my creditors meeting and I can remember taking the call in a side office. I think it lasted about 10 minutes,

I got a call too again just going through formalities and I had an increase in payment so that was discussed too.
