Hi All

Finally received my date for the creditors meeting, it's December 3rd at 3pm!
Started the process at the beginning of September but were delayed due to trying to get my partner removed from a bank account - bank error, thank goodness.
Fingers crossed they'll accept my proposals as i'm offering to cash in 2 endownment policies to the value of £2.5 k plus offer 47p in the pound.
Any advice would be gratefully accepted

i'm just hoping they'll accept it without any modifications or increased payments. My partners salary is being taken into consideration aswell and the IVA is just in my name! Lets hope they'll be understanding of this!

thanks Pennyless, i'm sure we started the process at a similar time. Was so pleased to read that your IVA had been approved.
I make my first payment at the end of the month even though creditors meeting isn't for a few days later!
Lets hope it'll be good news for christmas

RooRoo nothing wrong with that. My wife is'nt included in my IVA and her income was taken into account.

Can I ask if your joint account was overdrawn when you had your parner taken off the account? It was something I failed to realise and wife is now left with £4k dept from our account...ouch.

Yeah the joint bank account was overdrawn but it was overdrawn by the same amount when he went on the account in June. But we realised that he'd been bankrupt and shouldn't have gone on it even though the bank were advised of this.
The account is a sole account again but it's still showing joint names online - major faux pas by RBS and the onbudsman are being involved apparantly!
So that was my delay, we wanted the other half off the account so he wouldn't have to pick up thee debt!
Can't wait for that sickly feeling to stop. Muat admit majority of phone calls have stopped and asked them to use my mobile rather than my house phone, that way it's easier to decide whether or not i answer. Only had to put the phone down on RBS as lady was extremely rude and reduced me to tears!

RooRoo it's awfull that some "creditors representatives" can be so nasty as to reduce customers to tears. After all we have defaulted on our credit...not robbed their company!

Anyway will all be a distant memory as of 3rd Dec.

Thankfully although we spoke to our creditors we were never harrassed or given any concern that they would be anything else but "civil" regarding our debts.

Well done RooRoo - proposal looks to be a good, I'm sure creditors will see it is based on the best offer and I don't see why they wouldn't accept.

Very best of luck.
