Hello there!
Thanks to the fantastic help of Melanie and her team, our creditors meeting has been scheduled for 29th Dec - am so very nervous!! Was just wondering if i could pick someone's brains for a bit - as mine seem to have gone to mush recently!! We have a together mortgage with NR - the JonesGiles team have been great in securing an accepted pre-proposal from them already - was just wondering how this would affect our mortgage payments if theIVA was accepted? Our friends had an IVA acceptedby NR, but are in arrears with the mortgage part as they stopped paying the unsecured bit. Sorry if my waffling makes no sense at all - think it must be the worry - cant seem to string a sentence together!!

Hi amypops and welcome.

Can't help you with your question I'm afraid, just wanted to wish you good luck for the 29th.

We ought to have advised you to continue paying the together loan until the date of the creditors meeting. This avoids NR allocating your mortgage payments in proportion against the unsecured element as well, technically leaving you with mortgage arrears on your record.

Give us a call if you require further clarification on this Amy.

Thanks Melanie!
You did advise us to do this and we have kept up the payments - i perhaps have got the wrong end of the stick from our friends - was led to believe that this happened to them after the IVA was in place.

Thank you for your reassurace - will just keep on with my fingers crossed!

Many thanks
xx
