FANTASTIC! So pleased for you!

Do you mind me asking why they changed it by £30 a month? Any ideas? Just fretting on all the possibilities with mine at the moment!!
Sometimes creditors may ask to reduce an allowance by a certain amount if they think it's excessive, and life insurance is a thorny one full stop so it seems, I only have a little £5 one, but they threw it out!

Clee - I could feel your anguish in your first post, we all felt exactly the same (well, I know I did, anyway) and then ecstatic afterwards. I bet even annoying workmates seem likeable this afternoon, don't they? [:D]

PS. Jan - can I have one of those under-the-avatar countdown thingies too? [:)] (My payments go out on the 1st of the month)

Hi Little Fi,
the man who called me (nice guy) advised that my phone and Internet fees wee higher than the average allowed for, and car allowances. My mobile is £19 a month, and landline £24 ish, and then my car allowances. I know they have national criteria that they always compare to, so even though its £30 a month - its only £7 a week, so If I can make sure I don't have the heating on, make sure I turn off the lights and use my mobile more for calls when calling ( I don't always use the minutes) then I am sure I can save some toward the £30.00. My biggest outgoings are Diesel and my car - I owe my mum £800 from the work done in April, so she says I can pay it as I can afford it - but it is on her visa, so need to scrimp to find that money. But that is not going to affect my relief and determination.
now guys and gals - we need a section for cheap meal recipes and tips!

Just caught up with this Clee - congratulations.

What exactly is your car allowance for? We get seperate allowances for MOT, car tax and servicing.

well the vino has been flowing, I bought a carton of wine from tesco (cheapest there is, spanish, £3.80 litre)and put it in the freezer. she came round and as I was pouring, realised it was red!!! I had been on so much of a high - I was like out of a 1950's musical, singing to myself round the supermarket and buying value crisps and value wine!
Bit of a shock when I poured it out , we both just laughed, then I just started crying, (sound soppy here) but I think it was the relief of the last 6 months and having nobody to really turn to except you guys. well tears over ((( only a brief release and cry guys - don't worry!!!))))
she has now left and I couldn't waiti to come on here. still drinking that red!

Smashing news for you and the lucky lady. So nice to see someone's life really changed following the acceptance of an IVA.
