Excellent news, and given that NR had a controlling vote on this and chose to exercise it in favour should give hope and optimism to all those on here who have posted lately worrying about Northern Rock and their policy on IVA's.

Oh wow. Northern Rock submitted 48 modifications - all of them acceptable (any many of them to be expected)
That's what Scott posted Melanie.

I can't believe that instead of struggling and worrying for twenty odd years, not answering the phone and leaving piles of letters unopened I have a solution.
Fantastic news - even with 48 modifications who was the IP firm?

The firm was Payplan. They said it looked very much like a box ticking exercise for Northern Rock as most of their requests were things that were already provided for in the proposal.
The only ones worth mentioning were if I miss two months payments they will class it as a default (well d'uh) and if I do any ovetime they will let me keep 110% of my standard take home pay - which is fair enough. That and a £14 increase in my monthly payment - which is a drop in the ocean.
I am spending today opening a mountain of ignored post and it is the most liberating feeling. I am even phoning some of them, not to gloat but to inform them in case they don't hear for a while.
