Hi guys and thanks for all your messages of support.Sorry for the delay in feedback. I`ve managed to borrow a notebook and Mrs H got me a dongle so at least I can do some work and social networking while I`m in hospital.
I`m afraid our proposals were rejected yesterday and Mrs H was too distressed to post last night. However the meeting is going to reconvene at noon on Friday and I`m hopeful for a better outcome.
I`m disappointed and frustrated that the reason for the refusal was because I`m in hospital and the first few payments were reduced by the IP (I`m self employed). One of the people at the meeting - who represented several of our debts - took the view that my illness might go on for longer. This is unlikely (I`ve a broken leg, not a critical illness) and I`m well on the way to being back in the shop. Apart from that I`m getting Employment Support Allowance (aka Incapacity Benefit) and payments from my Shop insurer for personal injury, so our income is hardly effected!!
So everything crossed for Friday.

Oh Hyperdrive I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope your IP fights tooth and nail to to get this through - how on earth can they say your illness may go on for longer when it's a broken leg?

Hopefully they can be convinced - they're idiots if they can't!!

Hi Hyperdrive,

I too am sorry to hear about your meeting outcome yesterday.

It must be very frustrating, especially as your having a tough time with everything else !

I hope that your meeting Friday has a more successful outcome. x

What a complete lot of nonsense from your creditors! Get your IP to fight hard on this one - your reasons for the lower payments are good ones, and I am sure you are offering a better return than would be available to creditors under bankrutpcy proceedings.

Hope you get better soon!
