My creditors meeting is tomorrow and oday the largest creditor - Northern Rock has rejected and won't enter into discussions they just say I don't meet their criteria my IP has put together my IVA at approx. 36p in the £, I have read today of people being able to negotiate with Northern Rock but we haven't been able to, do you have any suggestions at this late stage?

Hi Myrtle and welcome

NR are pretty set in their ways in terms of getting the best return. I am not an expert in these "negotiations", but if you just hang tough for a while, a REAL expert will be along to give you sound advice.

I always manage to speak to someone at Northern Rock and find them very helpful. They tell you straight if they do not like something, and that is absolutely fair.

How old is the debt with Northern Rock? They do not like seeing IVA proposals for debts which are less than one year old.
