Well I can honestly say that we do have a far higher than norm success rate in seeing our IVAs completed, and I do believe it is because myself and my fellow IPs take a very hands on role in case management - and we have great staff of course!

Glad you are finding the forum useful. I think we all do - and I have withdrawal symtoms if I am away from it for more than 24 hours!
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

David, in your experience has a debtor ever attaended a "meeting"?
Yes in the very early days. The debtor sat in at the meeting which was attended by a few of his creditors, then the creditors askked for him to leave the room so that they could discuss the offer. WE put the debtor in another room and I remember shuttling between the two rooms discussing modifications and counter proposals until eventually all agreed and sorted.

ClearDebt today has a network of 136 practitioners around the country who are prepared (or their experienced staff) to discuss the IVA and go through the final proposal and deal with the money laundering regulations at that meeting. Otherwise with the change in SIP 3 most calls are over the phone with me or a senior member of my team.
