Hi All, (First post!)

I am a single tenant with 47K of unsecured debts and no assets. When it came to choosing an IP Melanie Giles stood out to me as the best choice by some margin, a view reinforced by all the helpful postings on here.

Having looked through all the posts leading up to the day of the creditors meeting, I found a full creditors report to be very helpful, as it gives a snapshot of the market at that time. (All info helps!) So here is the point where I start to put something back into the forum with mine!

Creditors report

Yes Votes

Black Horse Loan 4105
John Lewis Credit Card (HFC) 6174
Lloyds Credit Card 6212
Lloyds Overdraft 2491
MBNA Credit Card 6167
MBNA (Virgin) Credit Card 6336

Did not Vote

Abbey Nation Overdraft 1054
Citi Credit Card 2454
Capitalone Credit Card 853
Egg Loan 5312
Egg Credit Card 6336

No Votes

NONE!

So a 100% Yes vote ratio on the day of the creditors meeting!
A 25p in £ dividend to all creditors with a monthly payment of £315.

If anyone is thinking of an IVA, I can’t recommend Melanie Giles and her team highly enough, all were superb throughout.
When you consider that MBNA (twice) and Black Horse were amongst the yes votes, this is an excellent reflection on the guidance given by Melanie.

Trevor.

Hi Trevor,

Thanks for posting your creditors meeting information, I was suprised to see the MBNA voted whilst they held over 25% of the debt. Just goes to show that it is still a lottery when it comes to their voting strategy.

I never have a problem with MBNA, and wonder why they get so much bad press on this and other forums. You are always able to talk to them, and they make very sensible commercial decisions.
