How much notice of the creditors meeting did your IP give, Poppy. It is odd that Lloyds and Barclays did not vote.

Hi Melanie

The IP gave one months notice for the meeting.

I have been getting calls off Lloyds every day, plus letters demanding payments. Barclays haven't written to me but are still ringing.

I found it odd but it probably worked in my favour that they didn't.

Hi
I,m sure that we had a recent post from a member who,s IVa was agreed and again, from memory, barclays and Lloyds failed to vote with a large proportion of the debt.
I wonder if admin can find it ?

Barclays seem to be a mystery, there are a number of big IP firms who say that they never vote in their creditor meetings but at the same time we have seen them vote on many of our proposals.

Hi
I found the post from Todd where Barclays did not vote on his IVA
Posted - 26 June 2007 : 17:03:22
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi All,

Had my creditors meeting today and the IVA has been approved with no modifications the IP called to say the following:

Barclaycard debt 17K No vote received
Barclays Bank debt 14K No vote received
AA Financial Services debt 9K No vote received
MBNA debt 10K Accepted per proposal
Creation finance Debt 1/2K Accepted per proposal
Capital one Debt 1K Voted with modifications rejected by IP.

Works out at 35p in the pound!!!!!
Thanks for all the advice and support over the past few months experts and forum members its great to know you have people that understand keep you up to date in the future.
just want to sleep now

TODD

It seems strange that creditors with large and often deciding votes do not vote at all.
Why ???
