Oh dear that's miles from all my contacts. When my oh gets home I'll see if he knows a good one as he is FS and travels the country but not in an advisory role.
Hope you get this sorted but just a reminder that no contact details can be posted on the forum and will be up to admin to swap emails/telephone numbers with the others permission.

I can ask Andy to sort you out with email details so I can do that if you wish.

I've sent him an email so just have to wait for him to get back in touch.

I'm sorry, I've had a word with my oh but he hasn't got any connections in Sheffield area. I think it's important that you actually see someone rather than deal via telephone because the wording on the trust would need to be pot on etc. I think your best bet is to see a firm of solicitors with a financial services arm. Have a look on google, there ought to be several in your area. Critical illness cover can be expensive another option to consider would be a straight forward term assurance with the option of having the proceeds paid out on diagnosis of a terminal illness (usually 12 months to live). This type of cover is much cheaper. Any good IFA should be able to sort out something suitable for you. Good luck.

in conversation i had i established there are a select few providers with whom this is not a big deal, there are others who require more complex forms and then there is the more complex route with solicitors wording required. with the right providers who do this as run of the mill you wouldn't need a complex soliciters agreement.
