Give me a shout when you want and we can arrange, I dont know where it is but at least if we get lost we can do it together.

Yes, I can walk through to New St Station, I might just get arrested for saying a word to strangers on my way so make sure its a clean one, lol.

I know the way from there so if we manage to find each other, we will be fine. Will shout when I get your email address.

Yes, me too, I really am looking forward to it. I wish that Skippy and Scaredkez, the bear and many more that I know virtually, could come also.

Hi All

I have to say that after a sleepless night i feel like a new person today. Work has ok'd me to go ahead with bankruptcy, i have almost completed the forms, i just have to ask:

When i register at the court they will freeze my account, is it best fro me to transfer all my bills and my salary to my partners account before hand?

Regards

Jhonnie

I really do hope that things will go well for you Lily.As Ang said you really do deserve some kind of closure. Im hopeing that in the next 6 months i to will be in a posistion to settle my debts and move into a debt free life.
The thought keeps me going,it will be great to actually wake up and not have that dreaded feeling.
Sorry Jhonnie i'm not sure but i'm sure someone who knows will answer your post, and goodluck

Jhonnie

There will undoubtedly be some disruption in the freezing and unfreezing of your bank account and your bank may wish to see the account closed following your bankruptcy, so if you have an alternative optiom I would take it to be on the safe side.

Hi Jhonnie

I was told that its best to open an acoount with one of the three banks that accept BR's

Nationwide, barclays and the co-op. What I did was to stop everything and paid the bills over the phone or with cash. Just until it was sorted. (if you have to change accounts you will have to stop and reinstate DD's anyway.

Withdraw everything before you attend the court as if they are frozen they will take the balance as part of your estate and give you living expenses. Someone told me to open an account after I had spoken to the OR on the phone on the day. Someone else said open an account and keep a nil balance, but I never got to court as my circumstances changed 10 days before. I have found the co-op cashminder account really fantastic, I went in person, explained everything and they were very nice, it comes with a debit card and internet banking.

Good luck with everything. (sorry to hijack your post).

Thank you Tracy

This time has sucked, but its given me time to evaluate everything and whats important, I think I just needed to stand back and take time out, life can just be so fast paced you forget what is important.

I wish things could be different and certain things hadnt happened but I will be so fantastically grateful when I am finally free, it was worth going through it all just to feel like that, if that makes any sense. I wouldnt have known so many lovely people either.

I honestly believe everything happens for a reason, and in time we will be much better people for the stress and anxiety we have suffered
due to debt
Ok you could say we got in this mess and thats true but there is always a reason why we get there and like us we are trying so hard to rectify the situation,i feel we will win in the end.
As you say the experience in a way has been a worthwhile journey as for me it has really opened my eyes to the amount of people that are in the same boat and posting on here has given me so much knowledge and hindsight of how many people are allowed to get in this mess, and if i can help by offering my support then im happy to do this.
I hope your journey will soon come to a happy conclusion for you and your dear children,it will be very much deserved.
