Hi Grayson, I was the original poster in the link that Lesley sent to you and I don't regret it at all. I've used the bike loads and being able to purchase a decent bike at (worth£350 for £13 a month, for a year) is really a good deal.-Go for it and happy Cycling [:D]

Thanks for all the comments guys. I've taken the plunge and ordered a new bike and can't wait for it to arrive so I can start cycling. I will let you know how it goes, I am off to buy one of those gel seats tomorrow:-)

Foggy...shhhh it's my go faster basket and I need somewhere to put my purse and phone. I'm forever making excuses as to why I can't go and soon it'll be too dark when I come home from work to go at this rate.

They sell really good lights for bikes now and you can get them as part of the cycle scheme. I started cycling 4 years ago and have lost over 5 stone and can now do my daily commute (14 miles) three times a week, when I started it was once a fortnight 'cos it took that long for my nether regions to recover!!
Life after IVA is wonderful.

Just thought I would post a quick update. My new bike arrived last week and I am very happy with it. So far I have done about 40 miles in one week which I think is pretty good going. Obviously the nice weather helps as I am not sure I will be as keen when the British rain comes back. I've downloaded the strava app onto my phone which has really brought the competitive side of me out:-)

Fabulous! ooh strava app must go check that out. My new seat goes on tonight, I've had a little go on mine but nothing adventurous yet! Enjoy your bike, x
