Well time has finally come to do the deed and I have an appointment to petition for Bankruptcy at 9am tomorrow morning.

Spoke with my Manager today, and told him the truth he has been fantastic and sent me home with a weeks leave and to call him if I need any longer, he said he was amazed I had kept going with all this hanging over me, bless. Brought the laptop home so can always do some bits and bobs if needed.

All the forms are filled in, I just need to submit and print, the court said I only needed 1 copy, I ask if they were sure as I had heard stories of people being charged for the court to supply more copies on the day, but they were positive. Perhaps its because I am submitting on line? I will take 3 copies just in case though.

I have £130 cash in my hand that I withdrew from my bank today, any one know if I will have to hand this over or is the OR likely to let me keep it for expenditure for the rest of the month until next pay day?

And I spoke with the Co op and they said as I had a cashminder account they have no issues with me keeping this although it will be the OR's decision, will have to see.

Thanks for all your support guys I could not have got this far with out you. I will let you know how I got on.

Good luck for tomorrow Pippa. You will be fine, and it will be such a relief to get it over and done with.

I would take 3 copies with me, as I didn't have enough and it cost me a fortune to have them photocopied. I submitted mine online, so it seems as though it varies from court to court.

I didn't actually declare any cash in hand - oops! I didn't have any when I filled out the forms and it never occurred to me afterwards. The OR didn't ask me, but I would think you will be allowed to hang on to the £130 for day to day living.

If the bank has no problem with you keeping your Cashminder account you should be fine. Just ask the OR to confirm to the bank that they have no interest in the account.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Thanks both

If I can keep the £130 I am going to treat myself to a bar of fruit and nut, I know I know, nothing new there!

I was going to list a chocolate fund in my I & E but thought that was taking my chocy addiction too far!

Feel so much better today especially now I have the week off.

Aguise

I thought I was going to try and get through all this without telling anyone at work, its a big national company so did not need to tell anyone locally, but has been hard and I was so relived he didnt judge me at all.

We all think people will make immediate judgments and from reading a lot on here most are very understanding, I havent said anything to anyone as they dont need to know, but if they do I will tell them and wont worry, I have done too much worrying over the years and now life is more peaceful as I am sure it will be for you too.
Get that big bar of choc and enjoy it
