They were new ones started last night by the same person using different names from the same computer, all posted within a few minutes of each other.

They were locked.

hi all,me being a complete numbnut had accidently put 2 posts on here just worded different, when i registered i thought the first time it had messed up and registered again,(i have 2 e-mail addresses)so i hope you dont think that it was one of mine that was suspisious (cant spell)as i am a genuine confused lady who i think is going round in cicles

I agree Viki - we need Jan's eagle eye on the forum! No-one wants to see posts from spammers, abusive posts or time wasters like the posts last night.

I didn't see last nights shenanagins so can't comment, but I have seen lots of examples in recent weeks, usually on a wednesday or thursday afternoon, where a whole raft of new questions by new users are posted one after the other, bang, bang, bang, some of them really quite daft, sometimes even deliberately provocative.

Very strange.

When I logged on last night there were maybe 10 or 12 first-post questions all with just the 1 post. Within a matter of minutes, Jan had posted a reply to all of them!!! Her keyboard must have been on fire. I posted responses to a couple, not so much because of the wisdom a could spread but to give Jan a chance for a breather. She and Plasticdaft then spotted something was amiss and prompt action ensued.
