i have finally got my date for the creditors meeting, it is the 14th december at 2pm, i think i am more nervous now than anything as it is finally coming to the end of the wait.
i also decided to tell my parents this weekend what was actually going on i was waiting for a big lecture and how disappointed they were but i couldn't have been more wrong i only wished i had told them sooner, my mum has been my rock the last few days, telling me not to worry in regards to xmas it may be simple but the kids will have presents and we will all muck in together for xmas dinner, it has been very emotional and i know now they will be with me all the way if the iva is accepted, still if it isn't.
keeping my fingers crossed.

Thats goog news and it will be nice to have your IVA up and running before xmas. Not everybody accepts that they have a debt problem and even less actually do something about it.You will feel in complete control of your future and will no longer be living a lie.
Good luck for the 14th !!
Regards

Scaredkez..and anyone else who has a meeting coming up,

If your meeting is in the afternoon (like mine was)...phone you IP mid morning...around 10 and ask them just to run through what will be happening (ie when will you get to know the result etc). I did this thinking that no way would i know until after 3.30..hadn't even crossed my mind to ask.....but they told me there and then that basically i got it and told me who had replied 'yes'......it meant i could relax and enjoy the rest of the day!!!!! and when they did call after 3.30 i knew it was just the offical yes. Give it a go...the worse part is waiting!

Good luck to you all!

Hi Scaredkez,

It’s great to hear that you have a date for your creditors meeting, your now one step closer to getting your IVA approved.

Also well done for building up the courage to tell your parents, it takes a lot to admit that you have made mistakes especially to the ones who are closest to you, you should be proud of yourself!

All the best for the 14th December and remember to keep us updated on the outcome of your creditors meeting.

Hope this information is of use
