Hi Skippy

Try Tesco or Asda online, postoptics.co.uk or visionexpress.com

Thanks Dave. I have looked on Postoptics and they are the cheapest. My Dave has said he will pay for the lenses and I can pay him back monthly and I have worked out that I can save £65 a year buying online.

I just wanted to say thanks for your advice Dave - I am now wearing the daily disposables and they are so much more comfortable than my old monthlies. I am much better at taking them out as well as I can just throw them away so I no longer have blood shot eyes by the evening!

Is it possible to get a bad batch??? I have used three since wednesday (accuvue weekly disposables). They are so uncomfortable and my eys are so red. I have only ever had one infection in 16 years of wearing but something isnt right.

I am stuck as I forgot to include my old direct debit when I changed my account so I cant get any more until I make another appointment. I really wasnt keen on the chap anyway, he never spoke and rammed his finger into my eyes to take my lens out without washing his hands and I wanted to change, he is very stern too.

Skip, you know I love you but please dont say come on birmingham, I cant cope with that and we did you anti chelsea's a favour last weekend. All they do is throw themselves over and bitch anyway, we just got on with it. I dont think you have anything to worry about.

I've had a bad batch before - it's felt like I've got grit in my eyes. I would recommend Specsavers for contacts as they are the most comfortable ones I've had (apart from the dailys) and they were the cheapest!

That was a great result for Villa, although I must give Drogba a 6.0 for artistic merit - some of his dives would have been better in a swimming pool! You've lost me a bit about Birmingham...

Well you said come on Birmingham and we dont get on with them (thats putting it mildly, no blue noses allowed)

Did you see that Droggba with the face, no contact whatsoever?

Yes they do feel like sandpaper, I will get myself to specsavers them, ASAP, When my son goes back to school on Tuesday.

Hi Lily and all sorry I havent been around since I saw you Tuesday. My little toy poodle dog died early thursday morning and I am heartbroken, she was 14 and had a lovely life but it was a shock, she never left my side even when on the computer she was beside me on a cushion.
My daughter uses specsavers and has no prob at all with them.

Oh Ang I am so sorry.

I can understand your distress we had a old english who had cancer and we knew he was dying and had a date to put him to sleep but it was still a shock. To lose a companion so suddenly after such a long close bond is horrible for you.

You are so lovely, by the way, I felt I had known you all my life.

So very sorry about the loss, take care, I will be thinking of you.

Love

Thanks Lily
We Knew she was not that well but she went downhill very quickly, we had to take her to the vets at 2 am and I think she was nearly gone when we got there but I always promised if she reached the point of having to be put to sleep that I would stay, and I did I was holdng her, she was a tiny little thing smaller than a cat even at 14 people thought she was a puppy because of her size. Never mind.
I felt the same at meeting you. I enjoyed the evening, what a shame about Debbie not knowing we were upstairs in the bar.

Ang x

Ang

I don't normally post on the non-technical issues, but can I say how sorry I am to hear about your little dog. I too have an elderly Yorkie, who is 13, and we nearly lost her about two months ago and it is absolutely devastating. I was so upset - and you know they are old but it doesn't really help.

You were a very brave lady to stay with her, and my thoughts are very much with you. She must have enjoyed a very lovely life.

ang, i am so sorry about your pet, you poor thing and as mel said very brave to stay with her, i couldn't have, my dog had to be put down 5 yrs ago after having her for 15yrs and i cried buckets, i dreaded telling the kids and panicked all day for them to say well we can have a rabbit now, really i am so sorry, we have just acquired the nieces dog and she feels like she has been here for ever and couldn't part with her now, real feel for you at the mo, so sad.

Ang I'm so sorry to hear about your little dog. My mum had to have our dog put to sleep last year and it was awful. She was 18 and although you know they won't be here for ever it doesn't make it any easier. You are so brave staying with her, and she must have had a lovely life with you x

Lily, sorry for the Birmingham comment - it was only for that match, honest! I hope you get your contact lenses sorted out, I'm sure you'll be fine with Specsavers x

Dear all xxxx
Thank you for your kindness I really appreciate the fact that others understand. Even the big man of the house wont let me move her cushion from by the computer.
Lily the hug is so welcome x

For others just to say this is the unfortunate type of thing that a contingency fund was so blessed. The PDSA charged £203.09 to see her and £130 of that was just because it was at night for the consultation.I think more than steep for the 15mins we were there, but so glad at least that we had it there ready.
