Ang.

Its expensive even for a night time consultation, its the last thing you needed, being in an IVA. So sorry though, I really am for your loss.

Skip, its OK, I forgive you.

Take care ang.

Love ya both and Kerri too.

So sorry to hear your news Ang. Our dog means the world to me so I can begin to understand how you must be feeling. My thoughts are with you. Take care

Hi all

I've been away for a few days so only just picked up on this post. Firstly Ang so sorry to hear about your loss. I've just been staying with friends who have 2 dogs and one is getting old. I know how attached they are and they regard the dogs as their children. To lose a pet you have had for many years must be heartbreaking and I hope you are comforted by the fact that she didn't suffer longer than necessary.

Skippy I'm pleased you have managed to sort out your contact lenses. I would recommend my own company but on a forum looking to keep costs low Specsavers are probably the best bet.

Lily it is possible to have a bad batch of lenses. They are made in batches and if the mould shifts slightly they can seem fine when inspected but comfort is an issue.

Finally, Ang, Lily, Andy, Gavin and Donna it was a pleasure to meet you all the other night in Birmingham. It was good to sit around and share our thoughts and concerns. Lily I hope I didn't cause you concern regarding accepting a lift of a relative stranger. I just didn't like the idea of you travelling on a train late at night. By the way I could sense the pride you felt in your son for passing his driving test. I'm sure he's had the best start in life thanks to your love and support. Now he can gain a bit of independence and continue his development into adulthood.

Best wishes

Dave
Regards

Dave

That's interesting Dave - the contact lenses I have been using in my left eye aren't as quite comfortable as the ones they gave me to trial. I rang Specsavers and they told me that it's impossible to have a whole box of 30 lenses that are faulty! They are still so much more comfortable than my monthlies though.

Thanks Dave

You didnt scare me at all, I was grateful, very grateful. It was like I had know you all my life. Birmingham is a scary place at night and I didnt fancy the walk through that tunnel on my own. I am so glad that I attended.

Proud of my son I am, It has taken 14 weeks of everyday learning and he past first time!!! I took him for the test and I was dancing in the street, when I saw the simile on his face. He has had so many problems but is willing to try to overcome them. He insires me everyday.

Thanks so much.

(could do with a couple of vallium when he goes out on his own though)

When I first passed my test my mum used to sit in the passenger seat with her arm out of the window to stop me getting too close to other cars! I'm not convinced she wasn't on the valium as well!!!

Well done to your son for passing his test Lily x

Thanks skip, I bought more P's (provisional driver) signs and caution new driver signs than you can fit on a little Polo.

Good job he is not the type to think about 'street cred'. Its a whole new world for him, he can get around. He wants to do a GSCE now.

Its a fantastic feeling seeing his little polo come up the drive and mom would be so proud he is at the wheel of her car.

I used my mum's car when I first passed, didn't drive for a few years and then bought my first car - and got my first ever debt! I drove it until it fell apart - literally! When I traded it in the exhaust was hanging off, the central locking didn't lock and unlock (I had to get in through the boot a couple of times - very embarrassing in a short skirt!) and the electric windows jammed. I loved that car though and I cried when it went!

Thanks for the kind words Dave, they are much appreciated.
It was really enjoyable meeting everyone the other night, hope its not too long before another. I was really nervous and felt settled immediately I got there.

Ang x
