Hi David

I can’t believe how many months we have been having this dialog on the forum, perhaps we should become Facebook friends so we can post on each other’s walls instead?

The crux of the matter is that you have not issued a completion certificate to me, this is despite the fact that all moneys have been paid across for the term of the IVA, despite that fact that claims for allegedly missold ppi were made to the banks (against my will) and after being investigated by the banks were rejected.

As per your earlier suggestion I have sought legal advice and their advice is that you should not be sitting on the completion certificate and that when I advised you that I had not been missold PPI, that should have been the end of it, the fact that I had purchased a single premium insurance does not mean that it was automatically missold.

You previously asked would I be prepared to submit my specific details to either Andy, Melanie or Michael, if they would be prepared to do this then perhaps a panel of those three?

They could make their judgement based on all written communication between Cleardebt and I and the claims handling company and I. Any additional information that you may have and I have not been privy to should not be considered as this should have already been issued to me.

The question should not be if what you have said is true as I have not to my knowledge called you a liar but perhaps the questions should be:

Has Cleardebt dealt with Heretoday’s case in a heavy handed way?

Did Cleardebt use threatening, bullying or intimidating language to force Heretoday to sign authority for claims to me made for missold ppi insurance despite his insistence that he had not been missold ppi?

Did the Claims Management Company engaged by Cleardebt make what could be deemed to be misguided claims for missold PPI? This would include claims made for accounts that were not in Heretoday’s name, claims made for missold ppi for accounts that did not have an insurance element attached to them and finally for using a scatter gun approach and making claims that ppi was missold for a whole host of unconfirmed and or untrue reasons?

Should Cleardebt have issued the Completion Certificate by now?

It has always been my intension following receipt of the completion certificate, to make all relevant information available; there are clearly lessons to be learnt both for the debtors and the supervisors from this case.

There can’t be many facts to my case that have not already been made available on this forum?
If there is a specific point that you believe that I have omitted or withheld, then email me and I will post any missing information.
7 years after starting an IVA I finally received a completion certificate from ClearDebt

David...please continue with your hard work for your customers and the support you offer to this forum. I for one would not have got through my IVA had this forum of professionals not given their time and advice for free ......hence my reason for staying logged on two years AFTER my IVA ended.....to support others. Well done !

RCN membership over 390,000 paid up members who vote for nurses who have been innovative and have made a difference to patient care.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

And God Bless every single one of them. My best friend is a nurse, and when I see the pressure and constraints of resource the NHS is currently under, and how hard he is expected to work looking after patients in his district, they all deserve an award.

Congratulations on your award David, it is a shame you had to miss the event and not be ther in person to recevie it. Success is measured in many ways and to have an award given by those judging is right up there so congrats and I am sure you celebrated well! Best wishes :-)

A little late to this thread but congratualtions to David. He has done an awful lot of work, specifically in regards to the DRF (Debt Resolution Forum) and in trying to improve regulation and accountability in the debt help industry.

Congratulations to David Mond and from our experience and perspective, very well deserved!

We are with Cleardebt and into our fourth year and have honestly found everyone we have dealt with to be great. They sorted out a discretionary variation early on and we wouldn't be where we are now without their support. We have made partial payment and overpaid within the year when my car died too and everything has always been sorted so painlessly.

All perception is reality and I guess we are lucky not to be caught up in the whole PPI claim at the end of an IVA situation. We have received forms from cleardebt that have been returned and I am sure that it will be sorted before we are due to complete in July 2014 (unless we win the lottery before hand [;)]

Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X
