The company I work for is being taken over and the new company want to carry out dbs checks will they be able to see I'm in a iva

No -- a DBS checks your identity and whether you have any criminal past or warnings on your record.

It shouldn't do - you should be fine ! Having recently done some checks on new recruits it is not a question that is asked on the standard DBS form
