Mind you, the old dears that live in the bungalows in the road by the flats are just as bad! One of them is also suspected of keying cars, and one morning she started shouting at me and told me to get back where I belong!

No, the flats - she hates everyone who lives there! Trust me to get on the wrong side of a vigilante pensioner!

people always assume poor druggys live in flats....

my flat is brand new, never been lived in, fully fitted with all the mod cons.

thier are six in my block, each only rented, however to rent one u need to be working full time with proof of income etc etc

even tho when i tell people i live in a flat i can see in thier fafes they think im some sort of druggy.
lots of payments to go.

i remember before the days of our IVA we had a big pot full of loose change from 1p to 50p and i had run out of sweets so i took the tub and told the lads at the door to just grab a handful...(couldnt afford to do that now) anyway off they went and 5 mins later i hear a knock on the door again...i go back and there is one of the lads holding a coin in his hand and says "this ones foreign, can i swop it for another..?"...cheeky begger.

Same here Richard. There are 45 flats in 4 blocks where I live - I wish there weren't as many. A lot of them are rented out (not so much in our block) and some of them seem to have a very fast turnaround of people which means you can get all sorts and they don't care as they're not there for long - rubbish dumped beside the bins instead of in them, cars parked really badly and blocking people in.

i agree skippy.

you would think people in this day and age would take pride in thier homes, rented not rented, house or flat.

i know i do do. if i know sumone is popping over i spend at least an hour tidying and cleaning up,, even if it doesnt need it.

same goes form outside aswell. i hate seeing bin bags, old mattresses etc etc,, lowers the tone.
lots of payments to go.

Same here. I couldn't be like that - as far as I'm concerned it's my home and I want it to be nice.

a few years ago my hubby said i was so mean to the trick or treaters, and he won't let me do this anymore, but when they use to knock on the door i would give them all samples of toothpaste, i get loads from work just small ones and use to bring them home, must admit as my eldest got a bit older he was quite embarrassed by me doing this, and told his friends not to knock on our door, i am much better now i do give them sweets, well have to keep my self in business now lol

Excellent Kerri! With any luck we'll be moving at the beginning of November so I'll get out of it again this year!

Im just sad, I switch the lights off, pretend i'm not home, carol singers aswell. Well if I had to get a job as a child to buy treats, then so should everyone else, some where I live are just outright begging. 15 year olds standing outside the local shop shouting "penny for the guy" not a guy in sight. If you did give them a penny, you'd just get abuse for the effort, and when some mug does give them money 5 minutes later they're in the shop buying ciggies. Cynical I know, don't like christmas either!
