had a phone call from capquest yesterday they was chasesing a debt at my address lucky it was not one of mine it was for someone who lived here before me but it makes me laugh i have lived here for nine years so i guess the person they are looking for have avoided there debt for this amount of time don't know how people can do that i would be on edge all the time thinking they are going to find me soon. glad im in an IVA paying back the best i can and i know they are not calling looking for me or my hubby.

Hi S2
Indeed, one of the great things about an IVA is knowing that your not going to be chased.
I do find it strange that they suddenly called chasing an old debt from the previous occupiers of your home 9 yuears later!

Thanks

If they've avoided it for this long, it's no longer relevant anyway, it will have gone past the Statute of Limitations.

Makes me cross though that people do get away with it. We regularly have post for the previous occupiers of our home and they were in debt to the tune of around £50K that I knew of from the letters and phone calls for them. Nobody knows where they went and I am left swimming under red letters for them.[:(!]

You are keeping your recycling centre going though!

It wouldnn't bother me to be honest. If it doesn't affect me, it gets binned!
