Hi - this maybe not the correct area to ask this but however i am going to haha..
I have had a few issues changing my utilities supplier and EDF continued to charge me when they shouldnt of. They wrote and ackowledged this but now i have had a letter from a debt collection agency. This is ok as i have sorted it and EDF agreed they are wrong but will the letter effect my credit score? Its probably wrecked anyway due to my IVA but i am just wondering as if so this isnt fair.

If they sold the debt on I suppose the new owner could register a default. EDF do still have a responsibility to ensure the debt is recorded accurately.
I'd think the effect on your credit score (which is a meaningless number really, used by very few) would be minimal to none existent due to the IVA. That said I would want it recorded correctly to give any future utility supplier the right picture if they search you
