Hi guys this may be an odd question but work have asked me if there are any courses I want to go on that they will pay for and give me the time to complete.

At the moment we we tend to send the people we support to see outside outside agencies, usually Citizens Advice, and quite frankly some of the advice I see people given is a bit suspect.

I work for a charity so I'm hoping to find something that won't cost them too much and will give me a grounding in solutions other than just an I VA.

I would suggest contacting CAB and Stepchange for advice --- they might offer courses themselves, or know who does.

Unfortunately the advice we see given online, with the best will in the world, is usually based on half the story, or less, without the ability to do a deep fact find, as people are, rightly, wary of airing their personal information on a public forum.

Good luck with your endeavours.
I am not qualified to give advice and can only state my opinions, based on my IVA experiences.

I must admit having heard some of the advice given out by the CAB I'd be a bit wary of them but Stepchange might be an idea :)
