Well hello folks I have finally had my F & F agreed and am now all paid up and finally debt free just under 2 years earlier than expected I am so made up its a great weight lifted from my shoulders and now I can only look forward and never get myself in that mess again. Does anyone know how long it takes for DFD to get you a certificate of completion and how do I now enquire about changing over to a normal bank account from a basic account. Also how long does it take for your name to go from the Insolvency register?
Good luck to all out there waiting on news of their own F & F I hope you get the answer you want and one very big thankyou to all of you on this forum that have helped me the past 3 years and through some very difficult times.
I will be here if anyone would like any IVA or F & F advice I can help with xx

Excellent news Karen. So pleased for you.

Your name should be off the register within three months, and I'm sure Declan will pick this up as to when you will have your certificate.

Good luck for the future.

Hi Melanie, I have also emailed him direct as I just need the paperwork now to change my bank account to a normal one instead of a basic one.

That is not like Declan - I can only assume that he is really busy or on holiday. Perhaps Andy Davie could give him a gentle nudge for you?

Karen

Are ypu sure that you want to have your full name displayed on the forum - especially as you are soon to be debt free?

This has just dawned on me...do creditors read this forum do you think? I tend to be a very naive person but I would have thought they would be too busy to bother but in thinking about it perhaps they do?!

Yes they do - and they tell me that they get a lot of knowledge from the postings, as we all do. They are quite a reasonable lot on the whole!
