Not sure how both myself and my wife got letters from these jokers. I do know there Hermes Financial Solutions Ltd.

There letters infers that we may have been ill advised taking out an IVA.

I know, there fishing for business, throw it in the bin.

It would just be nice if they informned us how they got hold of sensitive information regarding my insolvency. Quite disturbed when I read the letter.

All IVAs are registered in a government database open to public inspection. Try to find yours here: http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/eiir/IIRNa ... hMapIE.asp . Remember to put in ALL OFFICES and ALL COURTS. So people like Hermes just trawl the IVA database for people to write to.

Hi
These companies can only "help" by advising you to go bankrupt, and they earn their money by charging you to basically hold your hand through the process,or by remortgaging you and offering a full and final settlement to your creditors, via your IP.
All the above can be done by yourself without a third party

They must be all getting short of work and desperate, as creditors move further away from accepting lump sum full and final offers from equity release during an IVA.

Hi
Yes that must be the case,we have heard a few stories in the last couple of weeks of various firms contacting people who are in an IVA.
