I have finally made my decision and am going to go with Melanie provided she feels IVA is best route. Even if not, I have today realised that my DMP company takes £35 per month from a £188 payment!! This might be normal but seems really high! anyone else got experience of these charges?

Really wanted to thank everyone for their help and advice on choosing my IP,m and I will keep you posted on progress.

sounds about right to me. My dmp payment was £350 and £50 a month was kept. Don't forget that there will also be a monthly fee taken out of the monthly payment for the IP to supervise the IVA.

I'll second that!

yep, totally agree, you are in good hands. The IP jungle can be a nightmare and it is good you have found this site and therefore good IP's, who more importantly, actually care about the people they work with.[:D]

Good luck from me to you too.

In answer to your query on DMP monthly charges - this does vary from company to company and can either be a flat fee or a percentage of the monthly payment varying from 15% to 20%.
