Well after this afternoon's panic about my car, I've decided I need to get my life in order! As well as BR (all being well 5th April), I am going to sort the rest of my life out - I am going to lose weight (hopefully 2 stone), go back to the gym and get fit (it's paid for so I'm wasting it at the moment) and learn to relax (not sure how I'm going to manage that one!).

I started the diet last week - I found my Slimming World books out - but unfortunately I have put on 2lb, so I might need to review my eating habits just a tad! It's probably got something to do with going to a leaving do at work (all drinks and food paid for, it would have been rude not to!), meeting some girls I used to work with for a pub meal (scampi and chips was one of the cheapest options) and Dave taking me for a curry. At least I know why I'm going wrong! I have discover the joy of Ainsley Harriott cous cous though - a cheap and filling lunch! Also dinner as well tonight as Dave was out and I was too lazy to cook!

We are going away on Friday night until Wednesday as it's my birthday next Tuesday - after that comes the gym. I need to get in training for the Race for Life as I'm sure my uncle and dad are up there having a laugh at my plans to run it rather than walk!

As for the relaxation part - I'll have to think about that!

Anyway, I thought if I made my plans public knowledge I might be more likely to stick to them! I suppose I can say "Hello, my name's Tracey and I'm bankrupt (almost), fat, unfit and uptight!"

Oh well, at least my sense of humour has returned! Wish me luck in my quest!

Onwards and upwards!!!

I know how you feel Tracey I'm on a mission to sort everything out this year as well finances being the first and biggest hurdle, weight a very close second no point going through all this stress with money situation to go and have a heart attack when it's over. We will emerge from this year healthier, wealthier and a hell of a lot wiser.

Good for you Lesley! I'd like to say my diet and fitness regime has been going well, but after a few days away for my birthday last week the diet has gone up the creek! My mum bought me a packet of Percy Pigs (food of the gods!) which I sat and ate whilst filling in my BR forms this afternoon! My other motivation was being bridesmaid to my friend in November, but she called the wedding off on Friday so it's down to willpower. Oh dear..

Just had fish and chips for tea (home made, can't afford chippy) I will try again tomorrow when I am back at work. It's snowing like mad here I might not get to work tomorrow don't know what I'll do then.[88]

Where abouts do you live Lesley? I've just looked out the window and it's chucking it down with rain here. If the weather is too bad tomorrow I won't be able to make it to the gym...

I wish I didn't enjoy eating so much!!!

I haven't mentioned our wedding to Dave for a while - I thought I'd let him get over the BR shock first!

Well she's announced this morning that she's going back to him - I think I've offended her as I've told her I think she's mad! I'd better get dieting for the wedding!!!

I hate coooking - that's Dave's job! He's very good, and that's why I keep expanding!

The car never went into the garage - no warning lights came on, and it now seems to be running ok, so fingers crossed!
