Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Declan from DFD - after waiting for several months he has been able to get me our Certificate of Completion today and for the first time in black and white I can say with my head held high - we are debt free !!!!(well almost - mother doesn't count !)

DFD may not get all positive press - but throughout the life of our IVA they have been nothing but professional, always there to answer our questions and always there to support us through the tough times !

Declan - thank you !

Congratulaions luluj - if I may say so you have written (in my humble opinion) a great many excellent posts on the forum over the years. Well done to you - and totally agree with your comments about DFD. I hope to be in the same position about one year from now. But - if there is one thing an IVA teaches you - never count your chickens....!!!! Best wishes for the future.

I think when my time comes around I will want to frame it!

Have to say I think Declan is an excellent support on the forum.

I was thinking of framing it - however it isn't really a certificate as such - it is more like a typed paragraph with a signature at the end of it ! But still......it means I / we are clear of past and time for a fresh start !

Well done to Declan for personally ensuring that this issue was dealt with speedily. Another advantage of having an expert from this firm on the forum!

Thank you for your kind words and it was an absolute pleasure to be able to send Luluj her certificate. Best wishes for everything in the future luluj and as I said on my email yesterday, you’re doing a wonderful job on the forum as a mentor.

Hi,fantastic news for you! great for new people to know about these different stages too.

our's should be here soon, does anyone know how long we need to "keep it safe" for after the IVA is settled?

we had HM Revenue& customs write to us this week,my hubby rang them, informed them our IVA was accepted last week, they said they didn't know we'd done one! ( no,we are not panicking we know Mel dealt with them as part of our IVA), very much a case of the left arm not knowing what the right's doing i think!

I've also had a new debit card and pin today from Lloyds TSB - We're not using that account,it formed part of the IVA! how crazy is that? i've cut the card up, made us laugh though.

enjoy that certificate Luluj, now you can really put this behind you.
Nothing stays the same...everything changes..hang on in there!

Thank you everyone - a celebratory chinese takeaway has just arrived however very disappointing - it had prawns in it and I am allergic ! Still I managed to eat some of it !

For those not at this stage yet - keep going, it is worth it in the end !
