I havereceived a default notice today from Capital one credit card. It states that a default will be registered against me using the date of the bankruptcy order. I have not gone bankrupt I had an IVA approved. It does also state that I had an IVA aproved on the 22nd October and because of this the breach is not capable of remedy.
In the letter it also goes on to state that a claim to the Official Receiver in respect of all sums due will be submitted.
This has me worried, why is the word bankruptcy being used?

Hi
Nothing to worry about
A computer generated letter and many banks put IVAs and bankruptcy in the same bag.
I sploke to Lloyds bank shortly after my IVA was approved and was told by a member of staff, with great delight, that I was a bankrupt.
Don't let it concern you

The Default Notices are aways issues in lieu and in persuant to a full debt been asked for. A standard letter but written to frighten people. Why can't they keep it to basic English parlance.

all of the creditors that we owed money to and where included in the IVA (all of them) have issued us with defaults...they sit on my credit file for 6 years....but i'm glad to say they each have a satisfied status next to them now.
