Hello All
I have a question my IVA was settled in May 2010,I have had a look at my report on line and it shows 1 of my creditors as default the others are satisfied.I have spoken to Captial One and they said it will show as default for 6 years.
It does state on my report that my IVA is settled.
Thank you
Lucy

HI Lucy, I think things should start dropping off after 6 years from the commencement of the IVA, so May 2011 nothing should show?

I hope I've not got this wrong as I do get muddled with this but someone else will be along shortly to give a precise answer. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Thank you I have called capital and I am on my 5th number as they keep telling me wong department..It shows as default 8 on my report which is the worst status from what I can see.
No one at Capital seem to have any clue on what I need to do.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi Lucy

The default date should be the start date of your IVA & will remain there for 6 years, the same as the Court Information showing your IVA.

You can ask Capital One to mark the account satisfied to show there is now no money owed, but it will still show there was a default on the account, although now settled.

If a defaulted account is subsequently marked as satisfied, it will fall off your files 6 years from the default date as this came first.

This is what I am led to believe from Equifax.
** IVA Completed **

Thank you that makes sense.
It was the only account I was worried about as just after I settled the IVA I started getting debt collector letters in relation to that account.
I forwarded these on to Payplan and they have now stopped.

Thank you for the reply.

Defaults should not be registered after the date of approval, and you should write to Capital One head office and tell them to remove any defaults put on after that date.
