Of course - it is always good to know about firms who have provided you with good service, and other forum members can benefit from this shared information.

I tell you how long this has been going on, one of their staff is now off on maternity leave!!! the rate this is going for me the little one will have started school!! lol

I have had dealings with them - they are quite switched-on and pro-active I would say.

Make sure that both you and the broker keep up the pressure as it will show DFD that you are serious about sorting this out and keep them on their toes.

Thank you Ian I will keep the pressure up with DFD.
I rang them this morning to let them know that the confirmation from both myself and ex-husband is in the post and has been sent recorded delivery. I also have asked them to email me that they have received it together with each time they get a response from a creditor to email me too.
But I know I will be on the phone to them regularly before them.
I will keep you all updated..

Hello everyone

Well I rang DFD today only to be told that there is a creditors meeting booked for the 2nd May.. To say I was surprised was an understatement. My understanding of the letters going to the creditors was to see if there was any rejection of the full and final offer made to them back in May 07 and if they required another meeting. Of course I can understand that with this creditors meeting being booked it will save time in case there are any that wish to demand another meeting, but I wasn't happy that this wasn't made clear to me in the 1st instance.
So fingers crossed for me guys 2nd May is crunch time and if my offer is rejected then it is down the road of IVA failure. I don't know what that will entail. Would someone be able to tell me please. As I am the one that is making the offer of the full and final and not my ex-husband, bearing in mind the debt is a joint one. Would I go bankrupt as well as him or would it just be him? Also would it mean that I would lose my house i.e forced to sell then monies go towards a bankruptcy?

Firstly, Scooby, if the game-plan is simply to complete on an offer that has simply taken longer than expected, and the IVA hasn't expired, I can't realistically see the creditors rejecting it, particularly if all parties are on standby, ready to go.

Will the offer still be on the table on 2 May? Make sure you advise Tyler Morgan so that they can keep the proposed mortgagee in the loop, to make sure the wheel does not fall off.

Worst case scenario? Yes, if the IVA unravels there is the potential for you to have to go bankrupt but wait until after 2 May before viewing this as a serious option.

I see some cause for some optimism here.

Hello Ian

Thank you for response. Yes the offer will still be on the table on the 2nd May and Tyler Morgan are aware, I rang them yesterday straight after I spoke to DFD.

I'll try to stay sceptical and await till the 2nd May.

Thank you for your support.

Regards
