Do not sign any re-mortgage documents without having the benefit of legal advice and an independent parties opinion of your husband's current statement of affairs. He may be still not being honest with you, and you do need to see his full financial picture before you commit.

Just to add as you sound like you need it another forum member support.

I cannot offer any magical advise either, just make sure you look after your own interests, I do not think you will be able to get through to him, there is none so blind as those who will not see.

It must be hell for you, I feel for you, not knowing where all this is going to pull you to. We are always here and youre not selfish.

Please come back and let us know how youre doing.

Hi Liedto

I too concur with others who have posted. I am so sorry that you are in this position. I have ranted and raved on this forum as have others and everytime I have had encouragement from all the IP's who post on here, all the forum members who are all in some kind of credit hell - so - you keep posting and ranting as much as you like!

Does your husband play golf? If so, he probably has one of those really nice r7 taylormade drivers. Get it out and whack him on the head with it - maybe that will bring him so his senses!!!

Then send the driver to me - its a brilliant club!!!!

Hang in there

Sue

Sue, I've just read your blog. I too have animals (2 Basset Hounds Lily & Molly) and am worried to hell about them. You sound like an extremely interesting lady. You will be able to do all those things you enjoy doing again. Good luck and please can we have an update. I would like to know how things are going. I'm new to forums and threads so am a little unsure at the mo how it works but I will keep checking on your blog. xx

My animals are the only things that have kept me sane during these last 18 months.

However, Kara (German Shepherd) seems to think that she actually is the mortgage payer, Phula (Cat - male - means Gentle Rain) thinks he is the credit controller - all his fault really) and Thandi ( cat - means beautiful Princess thinks she should not be in this position as she is the one that brings in the dinner - mice!!!)

Don't check the blog - keep looking at the forum - I am the mouthy one who has no real idea about anything!!!!

Seriously, don't worry about the animals - they will always be there. That is the nature of having pets, unconditional love.

Yes, at some stage I will do the things that I love and that is what I hold on to. I have no children which in this situation is a godsend but I do have an elderly Mum and siblings who live quite a long way from me, so do not have an immediate support group. That is why this forum is so important to me. If I can give a "smidgeon" of the support as others do on this forum, I will be a very happy person.

You keep posting Liedto, and we will keep answering and supporting you.

Take good care

Sue

I do envy you having animals - they give unconditional love and only want their dinner and a cuddle in return. We live in a flat so we can't have any animals, but hopefully if the move comes off we'll be able to get a cat. I grew up with animals (mainly a mad black cat and an Old English Sheepdog) and I miss having them around.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

I have my children, but also have my 2 cats. I love em all to bits, I have been worrying lately about our rental tenancy, if its not renewed I'll have go to council as homeless and MAY get put in B&B, wot would happen to my cats then?????? I could maybe get them in the cattery buts its expensive, I cannot ask anyone for help in my family as they are going through a tough time as a relative is terminally ill, so I cannnot tell them about my BR or ask for money!!!!

If your cats require a home - mine is big enough and they are and will always be welcome here. Remember tho' - they will always be yours and they do have a surname - "Return Me"!!!!!

Hi All

Liedto welcome to the forum. I just wanted to add a bit of balance to the proceedings and get another male perspective on things as apart from Andy and Mish so far you have met the equivalent of the forum coffee morning club. Lol.

Seriously though I think you need to take a long hard look at where you are at with your situation. If you are in arrears with the mortgage there is the danger it too could be repossessed. Maybe the better thing to do would be look into divorce proceedings now as your solicitor would be able to look after your interests better such as your share of any equity. Maybe selling up and using your share for a fresh start would leave him to sort his own mess. Increasing your mortgage at this stage would tie you in to his problem longer term. At least with the house sold his share of the equity could go towards his IVA but leave you completely out of it.

Good luck with whatever you decide and as the others have said the forum is there as a place to ask questions, have a moan or give support. Sometimes all three at once.

Best of luck

Dave
Regards

Dave

And I thought I had problems!

You poor thing... and as Skippy13 said, we are all in the same boat and have no right to judge anyone.

All I can do is offer my sympathy! And let you know that here is light at the end of the tunnel, even if it looks as if there isn't!

I really cannot believe how some people act towards the people they say they love!

My heart goes out to you and your children and I hope to see a positive blog on here fom you soon!
