Liedto
Im so plesaed that things are moving in a more positive direction for you,i really do hope hubby appreciates the heartbreak and stress he has put you through.
It is very hard to walk away from someone when you have feelings for them and i should think he hid it from you because he was ashamed at what he had done.
I really do wish you good luck for your future.
Weldone Leybridge i think the forum is lucky to have you on board.

Hi Liedto

I am so pleased things are moving forward for you - you deserve that break.

By the way, what happened to that golf club? Did you use it at all?? If not, take a swing anyway! LOL

Take care of yourself and keep posting on here.

Oh dear bad news. The valuation on our property came back £50k below what our estate agent advised us, therefore the money we can borrow has been substantially reduced. Basically it isn't enough so I think we may be back to square one. He wants to to take the money and make agreements with the rest, but, I'm worried someone else will try and make him bankrupt. Hell I'm on a roller coaster to hell. I just give up, I'm so fed up. Seriously wish I just wasn't here anymore.

Well unfortunately still nothing come through. TMy husband is having bankruptcy proceedings issued against him (again). One of the people he owes is going for an attachment of earnings which means he will definately lose his job. This isn't the fault of Jamie or the guys at Leybrifge but some mess created by the loan company and noone has contacted us since last week.

OK am off to drink a gallon of something extremely alcoholic. Sorry guys for being on such a downer just totally depressed and frustrated. 4 weeks ago we were promised a payout. You can't blame the people he owes for going ahead with proceedings.

Liedto phone in tommorow and talk it through with Jamie. I'm not in the office at the moment, so can not check. But I'm sure he has recently been on the phone to your husband.

Hi everyone,
I should have sent this update last week. Finally the loan came through, not with Blemain but from another lender. Unfortunately the apr was not under 12% but hey ho, beggers can't be choosers. My advice to people out there looking for a sub prime 2nd mortgage would be as follows. Firstly don't go near bds who acted as our broker, we were not kept in the picture and I don't believe they did their best. Blemain are time wasters and cost us £4k in solicitors fees and then told us we couldn't have the loan. Don't visit your solicitor to have papers witnessed until the lender has done the valuation etc., etc. We paid £5k to the broker £4k in solicitors fees. We couldn't get the full amount we need so we are still having to have arrangements in place. In the meantime I have heard that The Skipton BS may offer loans to the sub prime market in certain circumstances. I had 2 of my mortgages with the skipton for over 10 years really a fantastic BS. Finally Leybridge were great. Jamie was always there when we called and even sorted out a debacle over the apr rate which bds said we would have to pay, he also kept us calm when we were stressed to b*****y and was patient when we were bad tempered. We will go back to Leybridge again and will strongly recommend them, but bds and Blemain ugh. Thank you Jamie and Mike. xxxx

Interesting post and well done Mike & Co. Just out of interest why did you pay £5k to the broker if he didn`t ( I presume) do anything for you, he /they shouldn`t have received a penny until completion, also what did you pay the solicitor £4k if they also (I am guessing)did nothing for you, it seems an awful lot of money for no result.

Hi
What a ride liedto has had and sad that companies make money out of people for doing next to nothing.
Good for Mike at Leybridge and his team.Being on this forum makes them fully transparent,as it does for Melanie,Welshboy and Andrew.
When you offer a great service you have nothing to hide.
