Declan - do DFD actually do annual reports, as why are so many of your clients saying on here that they have not received copies of them?

It's not that annual reports have not been written to creditors...I think it is that we don't get sent them automatically until we ask for them - despite they are legally bound to issue one to us. Our two reviews so far we have had to chase for a copy of the statement - it is important to have it as you can keep track on what's gone where and it also says whether you are on track or not to complete on time.

That is not acceptable. If your IP is not issuing annual reports to you then he/she is in breach of their statutory obligations, and you should not have to pester until these are sent out. I hope that Declan will be able to come on line and let DFD clients know what they should expect to be receiving.

Thanks Melanie - were it not for this Forum I wouldn't have even known we should be receiving these so at least now I know to chase them up if they don't get sent out to us automatically.

I think that 'lost' is the appropriate word Jan! It's a great place to share information and experiences relating to our debt problems and important information can be gleaned at times just by reading all of the threads.

This is really getting odder and odder about DFD and the lack of annual reports. Hopefully Declan will address this on the forum on Monday morning.

I didn't realise I was supposed to receive a report from DFD. I had it sometimes, but not always. I got open when I had to write to DFD as I was concerned at one stage my payments could exceed the total owed!! (Rather odd situation, but well never mind)

Thanks all for clarifying that we were supposed to receive reports.

Its not that we have never received an annual report - I think we have had 2 which was at the beginning of the IVA. I definatly know we havent received one for the last 2 years. I will have to check when i get home from work about the other 2. x
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

I'm not with DFD, but used to be with Wilson Phillips and ALWAYS got my report about a week after the review. Last year I didn't get any paper work, except a letter saying that my IVA had been moved to a new IP. Seems some of the bigger companies are not so hot on their admin!

Glad to see so many of you still posting on here.....in 7 months time I'll be finished, but I'm going to carry on with the forum, it's been a lifeline!

Hi All
Apologies for not responding earlier. This query has baffled me as well and I can assure you I spent a good proportion of yesterday investigating this.
In answer to the question, yes, we (DFD) do issue annual reports - it is a legal requirement that is sent to our clients, their creditors and the court and is sent every year, as close as possible to the anniversary of when the IVA was accepted.
What we dont always send out, unless asked for specifically is the outcome of the annual income and expenditure review if the monthly contribution remains the same, instead we will ring you and advise of this. If there is a change, we will write to you confirming this.

I am currently looking at ways to make this process run smoother as I think there are issues about it and this forum has proven that we need to make the process easier to follow.

Thanks
