YIPPEE

True to her word on her return from a few days off, Judith at DFD emailed me today; i was expecting to be given an approx timescale for closure, but attached to the email was my completion certificate, with the original in the post.

Funny thing is I was that gidddy with excitemt reading it on my recently purchased iphone i deleted the email, certificate and all !! ( 5 wks on and i still cant grasp the b***** thing properly )

I do feel however that had i not involved Judith , DFDs complaints & customer care manager, that my situation would have just trundled along at a snails pace, as I have found over the last 6 months since making my final payment I have had to push them all the way; but perhaps as my 1 creditor that hadnt claimed had until Weds last week to claim, that maybe to enable the certificate to be issues 8 days after this deadline, perhaps means a lot of work had already been done in the background.

Equally, I picked tips up from the forum regarding not just sitting back and hoping for the best and also this is how I learned of judiths very exiastance

Orchid5 Im rooting for you and hope that you will see some progress over the coming weeks.

Good luck all and as i will continue to post as indeed i have for the last 6 months since making my last payment[:)][:D][8D][:I][:p]

thanks all & yes luluj on returning home and going back to an old fashioned pc i managed to re discover it.

Now after previous winges im not going to complain , but i think i will now start a campaign to have the Completion Certificate to actually look like a certificate ( you know the tye your dentis or doctor has on his/her wall )

Had i not been told by that this was actuall a closing " certificate " I would never have guessed it !! but hay ho its the wording that counts !!

thanks again all

It is great to see another dispute resolved with some assistance from the forum and its members. Well done on getting to the end of the road at long last.

Great news... we too were waiting for that one creditor to make their claim, and like you, within a couple of weeks of that claim being made we got our certificate too.

Enjoy your new found debt free future.

Well done! Its a fantastic feeling! Thats exactly what I did, I was emailing them most weeks asking for an update. It seemed to do the trick and to be fair, they always answered. I know others have had problems with GT but in my case I cannot praise them enough x
