Hiya all,
So I got my completion cert through from DFD yesterday - along with £120 refund from overpayment! [:D] (last payment was Aug 2011)

I would like to point out that we paid 100% of our debt, plus all the fees, etc so that would explain why we have not been held up by the ongoing VAT issue I imagine as any refund doesn't have to be put in the IVA pot because it's full and totally settled.

Guess I will just have to wait and see if I get any VAT back when DFD receive their refund as I would assume they've already claimed for it.

I feel for all you guys waiting for completion but just wanted to share with all that I got mine!! Finally! lol

has anyone else got any recent experience of how long after final payment DFD have taken to issue completion certificate ? 6 months seems a long time; i have no PPI to claim, so am hopefull my IVA may be completed much quicker

Im in the final months and can't wait until my last payment and then getting my completion certificate.

Im in year 6 and whilst I got used to managing far better after the initial 12 months, have had a slight overspend since my January pay packet at the end of Jan ( friends asked me out for a meal & I thought damm it why not ). result - i found myself in asda today looking at redcuced to clear food and £1 ready meals.... oh to be free and have spare cash again,,, i can't wait

£60 left to pay day in 2 weeks, back to pasta me thinks for the next 10 days, like my student days all those years ago

wont be long though and for anyone in the early days of their IVA reading this, my IVA is the best thing I ever did and the last 2 years of it have flown, so anyone struggling don't despair, you made the right move
Last payment made April 2012
Certificate received 1st Nov 2012

There is a problem at the moment with a VAT claim going through so it could be a while before the completion letter is issued.

If it's still an ongoing problem in March Arty - you could ask your IP to calculate how much the VAT refund will be on your IVA and if not too much you could 'loan' them the sum?

Things have changed since then flow - the VAT is a big issue at the moment.
